Three weeks after the finale of “Strictly Come Dancing,” auditions are under way for the upcoming series.
A schedule that involves weeks of rehearsals, mystery dances, challenges and eliminations has fans excited to watch the new cast perform live.
But in order to watch Saturday night’s opening performance live, you’ll need to be up for a quick turnaround.
“Strictly Come Dancing” returns to BBC One on Saturday, 12 Dec (10 p.m. CET), with the current series coming to a close on Sunday, 11 Dec (8 p.m. CET).
Following in the footsteps of “Strictly” and “The X Factor” in the US, the British version is a competition series in which aspiring celebrities and professional dancers dance for a total of 12 weeks, until one couple is crowned “Strictly Come Dancing” champion.
According to the official website, this year’s lineup includes fashion model Daisy Lowe, comedian Susan Calman, tennis player Monica Seles, James Bond actor Idris Elba and presenter Ainsley Harriott.
One of the highlights of the 10th series came during a Monday night vote off, when comedian Lee Ryan from “EastEnders” became the second celebrity eliminated.
